The plot of portfolio value over time — the single most information-dense picture of a strategy. Its slope is return, its dips are drawdowns, its smoothness is consistency. Two strategies with identical CAGRs can have wildly different curves, and the curve is usually what decides whether a human can actually stick with the system.
